Urgent Search for 78-Year-Old Sandra Missing in Goring

An extensive search operation is underway for Sandra, a 78-year-old woman from Goring, who has been missing since Friday, January 5. Last heard from over the weekend, concerns for her well-being are escalating.

Sandra is described as having a very slim build, short grey hair, and requires two walking sticks for mobility. It is believed that she may be in the Worthing or Lancing areas.

In a significant escalation of search efforts, both the Shoreham RNLI Lifeboat Station and the Littlehampton Coastguard Rescue Team were deployed at 10:14 pm. Additionally, HM Coastguard Shoreham, Sussex Police, and the NPAS Police Helicopter are involved in the search, particularly focusing on the local area for any signs of the missing individual.

NPAS has stood down and Coastguard Helicopter 175 has now joined the search.

Shoreham ILb has also returned to station and Litthempton Lifeboat has now joined the search at 12:22am

Around 3 am all were stood down with no one located at the time.

Police are urging anyone with information or who might have seen Sandra to immediately contact emergency services. If Sandra is sighted, the public is requested to call 999 and quote the reference serial 941 of 07/01.
