Valuable items stolen in overnight burglary in Midhurst area

Police are seeking the assistance of potential witnesses following a burglary that occurred in the Midhurst region.

Authorities were alerted to the incident in Iping, which is believed to have transpired overnight between 5 p.m. on Saturday, August 12, and 11 a.m. on Sunday, August 13.

The stolen items, valued at a substantial sum, include a Chanel wristwatch, a pearl necklace, and a Celine handbag.

Detective Constable Daniel Lynn expressed, “This incident was profoundly invasive and has caused significant distress to the affected family. We are appealing to the public who may have been in the vicinity during this timeframe for information.”

He added, “If you observed anyone exhibiting suspicious behavior in the area or possess any information that could aid our investigation, please promptly report it to us.”
