A fierce blaze has ignited at a car repair centre on Shripney Road, Bognor Regis, prompting an urgent response from firefighting teams. Crews from Bognor Regis Fire Station, Chichester Fire Station, and Littlehampton Fire Station are currently on the scene.
A spokesperson for West Sussex Fire & Rescue Service said: “At 10.30am we received 14 emergency calls alerting us of a fire in Shripney Road, Bognor Regis.”Joint Fire Control sent fire engines from Bognor Regis, Chichester and Littlehampton to the scene, as well as a command support unit.”Upon arrival crews found one commercial unit well alight.”Ten firefighters wearing breathing apparatus entered the unit and extinguished the fire, which was of accidental ignition, using hose reels and jets.
“Fortunately there were no casualties.”
