BREAKING: Emergency services respond to bus incident in Brighton

This evening, emergency services rushed to the scene of an incident involving a bus on Marine Parade near the Sea Life Centre bus stop. The incident occurred around 18:30.

Police and medics from the South East Coast Ambulance Service (SECAmb) swiftly attended the scene upon receiving reports of the incident. Upon arrival, they discovered a bus parked with its front and back upstairs windows shattered.

Eyewitnesses, interviewed by Sussex News, recounted a destressing account of a man running onto the bus and going onto the top deck before causing damage to the windows. The motivations behind his actions remain unknown at this time. The man was apparently then apprehended by the police and received medical attention by the attending paramedics at the scene.

Officers were also seen standing guard outside of Harry Ramsden’s, fish and chip shop near the scene.

Authorities are currently investigating the incident, and Sussex Police, SECAmb, and the bus company have been approached for official statements.
