A 22-year-old male from Brighton has been detained following allegations of an attempted rape on a woman at Brighton Beach.
The event took place around 3 am near the intersection of West Street and Kings Road on Sunday, August 27.
The individual is currently held in police custody.
Support is being extended to the woman by officers trained specifically for such cases.
