Hunt for Suspect After Woman Stabbed in Brighton

A 37-year-old woman was treated for non-life-threatening injuries following the attack.

An investigation has been launched after a 37-year-old woman was stabbed in Brighton on Saturday evening, prompting a swift police response and an ongoing search for the suspect.

Police were called to the scene at Church Place, at the bottom of Manor Road, at approximately 6.33pm on May 25. Responding officers discovered the woman with a stab wound. She was immediately taken to the hospital for treatment. Fortunately, her injuries have been assessed as not life-threatening or life-changing.

Detective Inspector Donna Ward commented on the urgency of the situation, stating: “This is a fast-moving investigation and we are searching to find the suspect. There were lots of people in the area at that time and we would urge those who were to report any information to police, as well as dashcam or doorbell footage.”

The suspect remains at large, and police are actively conducting enquiries to trace him. Authorities are appealing to anyone who was in the vicinity during the incident or who may have relevant footage to come forward.

Witnesses or anyone with information can contact Sussex Police online or call 101, quoting serial 1179 of 26/05 and Operation Woodstock.
