At approximately 5:30 PM today, emergency services rushed to the scene of an accident on the A259, located between Ovingdean and Roedean on the dual carriageway section.
The incident necessitated the temporary closure of the road, as emergency teams, including paramedics and police, attended to the situation. Fortunately, Sussex news sources understand that there were no serious injuries sustained in the accident.
By 6:00 PM, cleanup and investigation efforts were underway, and authorities expected the road to be fully reopened shortly. However, the accident has caused significant traffic disruptions. Eastbound traffic on the A259 has been reported to be queuing back to Brighton Marina. Additionally, local bus services are experiencing delays due to the incident.
