Urgent Appeal: Search for Homeless Teen, Young Man, and Toddler in Brighton

Brighton Hove Police

Authorities are expressing concern for the well-being of two young individuals and a toddler, who are feared to be living outdoors in the Brighton region. Police were alerted by a community member about a teenage girl seen sleeping in Queens Park. This girl, along with a male in his late teens or early twenties and an 18-month-old child, were last spotted in the park on December 6.

Specialized police units have conducted searches in the park and surrounding areas, working diligently to identify and locate these individuals to ensure their safety. Efforts include reviewing CCTV footage and coordinating with local transportation services.

The teenage girl is described as having blonde, unkempt hair and was last seen wearing a light blue and pink tracksuit. She reportedly has a northern accent. The group is thought to have a pushchair heavily laden with bags.

Detective Superintendent Kris Ottery said: “We are working hard to establish the identity of these two people and the toddler, and the circumstances around them.

“We are keen to provide any assistance that we can to them to ensure their safety and that they receive appropriate support, particularly during these changeable weather conditions.

“We’re appealing for anyone who may have seen them either before or after 6 December, or who has any information which could help us locate them, to please get in touch.

“If either of the people involved see this appeal themselves, please contact us to let us know that you and the child are safe. There is help and support available to you.”

Anyone with information is asked to call 999 quoting Operation Sorrel.
