Arrest Made in Willingdon Hit-and-Run Incident Involving Parked Cars

In the early hours of Sunday, December 31, Sussex Police responded to a report of a hit-and-run incident in Coopers Hill, Willingdon. A Ford Fiesta car had collided with two stationary vehicles, a blue Peugeot estate, and a blue Toyota Aygo, leaving substantial damage to the parked cars.

According to a spokesperson for Sussex Police, the incident occurred at approximately 4:07 am. Upon arrival at the scene, officers found both the Peugeot estate and Toyota Aygo obstructing the roadway. The driver of the Ford Fiesta had fled the scene.

Police located the suspect at an address in Eastbourne. The individual was subsequently arrested on suspicion of operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs. As of now, the suspect remains in custody, pending further investigation.

There were no reported injuries resulting from the collision
