Hastings Assault Leaves Man with Serious Injuries

Police in Hastings are requesting the public’s assistance following a serious assault in the town center. The incident occurred on Robertson Street at approximately 9:45 p.m. on Saturday, December 16.

The victim, a 46-year-old man from the local area, suffered severe facial and head injuries as a result of the assault. He was promptly attended to by officers at the scene and subsequently transported to the hospital for treatment.

In response to the incident, two individuals have been apprehended: a 27-year-old man from Hastings and a 40-year-old man from Kent. Both were arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm (GBH) with intent. They have since been released on bail while further investigations are conducted.

The police are now seeking witnesses to the assault or anyone with information that could aid their investigation. Those who can provide any relevant details are encouraged to report online or call the police at 101, quoting the case number 479 of 16/12.
