By 7.00 am, there was a notable improvement in the situation, with the fire and rescue service reporting steady progress in containing the fire.

The firefighting efforts culminated successfully with the fire being completely extinguished by 8.00 am. Following this, the East Sussex Fire and Rescue Service began withdrawing their teams from the scene, transferring the responsibility back to the premises’ owners.
