Police Call on Public to Help Trace Bag Linked to Stabbing in Peacehaven

Police are currently investigating a reported stabbing that took place in the town on Friday, May 19, at about 5.30 pm on Sutton Avenue. The victim, a 19-year-old man from Brighton, was seriously injured in the incident and currently remains in hospital, where he is in stable condition.

Officers are now making a public appeal for additional witnesses to come forward and for assistance in locating a bag that belonged to the victim and may have been left in the vicinity of the crime scene. The bag is described as a dark-coloured satchel or shoulder bag, featuring light-coloured straps.

The police have requested local residents in the area surrounding Arundel Road West and Sutton Road to thoroughly check their bins, gardens, and outdoor spaces for the missing bag. This additional piece of evidence could potentially provide further insights into the stabbing incident.
