Sussex Police have launched an urgent search operation for a missing 45-year-old woman, Emma, in the Friston area close to Eastbourne. Emma was last seen at 10 am on Monday, January 29. The police and emergency services are appealing to the public for any information regarding her whereabouts.
Described as 5’5″ tall, of slim build, with shoulder-length brown hair, Emma was last seen wearing a black puffer jacket, blue jeans, black boots, and carrying a small black handbag. The disappearance has sparked a significant search effort involving multiple agencies.
Overnight, the Coastguard, along with three lifeboats and a helicopter (Helicopter 163), conducted an extensive search operation. The Coastguard teams continued their efforts into today, scouring the area between Eastbourne and Cuckmere in hopes of finding Emma.
Authorities are treating this as a high-priority case and are urging anyone with information, or who might have seen Emma since her disappearance, to immediately contact the police.
