Regency Radio Mourns the Loss of a True Legend, Miss Jason

Mike Mendoza shares heartfelt tribute to the UK's favorite panto dame.

Regency Radio are saddened to announce the passing of Jason Sutton, a remarkable talent and a cherished friend. Known affectionately as Miss Jason, his vibrant personality and unmatched humor left an indelible mark on everyone he met.

Mike Mendoza, a presenter at Regency FM and Latest TV, shared his fond memories of Jason: “Today, we remember the extraordinary Jason Sutton, who I met 15 years ago during an Ofcom complaint. His support not only helped me through that challenge but also sparked a lifelong friendship and partnership. Together, we launched the hugely popular Pride breakfasts at Brighton’s Holiday Inn and hosted sell-out cabaret shows at Hove’s Bali Brasserie.”

Jason was celebrated for his role as the UK’s favorite panto dame and was beloved in both the straight and gay communities. “Jason was a brilliant talent, known for his humor and generous spirit. His legacy continues to bring smiles to all who remember him,” added Mendoza.

As we mourn his loss, we extend our deepest condolences to Jason Sutton’s family and friends. His memory and the joy he brought will forever be cherished. Rest in peace, Jason Sutton—your legacy will continue to inspire and entertain.
