Eastbourne Inshore Lifeboat tasked to assist an 11 metre yacht

Eastbourne RNLI Volunteer Crew were paged Sunday 5th June at 07.50 hrs.

They were requested to launch the Inshore Lifeboat and tasked to assist an 11 metre yacht off Langney Point.

The vessel with 2 persons on board had suffered a fouled propeller caused by an under water obstruction.

When on scene the Volunteer Crew were able to clear the obstruction enabling the casualty to continue with its passage to Brighton Marina.
