Brighton Lifeboat was paged at 12.36pm yesterday (saturday 11/06) to search for a person last seen in the waters opposite Palmeira Square in Hove.
They conducted a search pattern as per instructed by the Coastguard and were supported by BHCC Lifeguards.
They were stood down after two hours after nothing was found from the thorough search.
BHCC Seafront Team and Shoreham Coastguard Rescue Team (CRT) also undertook a shoreside search but nothing was found and no further eyewitnesses were located
