After a joint emergency services operation, including SECAM, Sussex police, RNLI and the Coast Guard, a male has been rescued from the River Arun in Arundel. It has been reported the emergency services were called around 10pm yesterday evening where coastguard recovered the man from the water.
A Sussex Police spokesman said “Police received a report of a person in distress after entering the River Arun in Arundel just after 10pm on Saturday September 24.
“Officers attended the scene along with colleagues from the fire service and coastguard.
“The National Police Air Service (NPAS) were also deployed.
“The person was located, recovered from the water, and was taken to hospital, where he remains.”
