This couple were in Uckfield on Wednesday trying to pass off FAKE £50 notes
The couple have also tried to do the same in Forest Row (Photo Below)
They have been challenged by one retailer but ran off.
Wealden Police said “We have been made aware of a small number of reports of two individuals using fake £50 notes in local business in both #Uckfield and #ForestRow (and surround)
Acting together a male and female have used counterfeit notes to make purchases; as such we are advising all local businesses and their staff to be cautious when accepting large denominations in cash, if you are unsure of the authenticity of the cash always use the tools you have learned over the years to spot the signs.”
