At 15:53, ESFRS were called to attend a farm on Harebeating Lane, Hailsham following reports of a barn fire.
Crews from Herstmonceux, Eastbourne and Heathfield attended.
Firefighters used three main jets, one hose reel jet and 1 in 7 foam to assist in extinguishing the fire.
As of 20:51, the incident has been scaled down to two appliances as steady progress in extinguishing the fire is being made.
The cause of the fire is not yet known and a fire investigation will take place in due course.
