Identity appeal after substantial damage was caused to a car in Brighton

Brighton and Hove Police are appealing for information and would like to to speak to man to the man in the above photo after substantial damage was caused to a car in Brighton.

A black Mercedes estate was parked in Richmond Terrace on Saturday, September 3, at around midday.

The owner returned to find the paintwork on one side of the vehicle had been scratched, with the estimated cost of repairs worth about £2,000.

Extensive police enquiries have already been completed, particularly around CCTV, and now we are keen to speak to the man shown in the image.

He is described as white, between 40 and 50 years old, 5’ 7” and of medium build. He was wearing a dark baseball cap, a grey long-sleeved top and blue denim shorts. He also had a grey and black rucksack.
