Police appeal for witnesses after Women assaulted in a Hastings bar on Sunday

Police are appealing for witnesses to an assault in Hastings town centre.

The victim was in Yates Wine Bar, Robertson Street, around 2.30am on Sunday 5 June when she was assaulted on the dancefloor. She suffered a serious arm injury requiring hospital treatment.

A 27-year-old man and a 28-year-old woman were arrested on suspicion of inflicting grievous bodily harm without intent. They have both been released under investigation while enquiries continue.

Enquiries are ongoing and officers investigating the assault would like to hear from anyone who saw what happened, or who may have any other information.
