Motorcycle enthusiasts rev up engines for a cause, bringing happiness to young patients.

In a heartwarming display of community spirit, Mods and Rockers united on Saturday for the annual Easter run to the Royal Alexandra Children’s Hospital in Brighton. Their mission? To spread joy by delivering Easter eggs to the young patients spending their holiday in the hospital.

Gathering at the iconic Volks on Brighton Madeira Drive, around 50 enthusiasts joined forces to make a difference in the lives of those in and out of the hospital. Led by Mods from the South Coast Mods and Bikers from the Widows Sussex chapter, the group embarked on a scenic ride around the city before making their way to the hospital.

The streets came alive with the rumble of motorcycles as they rolled through the City, their engines echoing a message of hope and generosity. Upon arriving at the hospital, they were greeted with open arms by hospital staff and patients alike.

The outpouring of support was overwhelming, as the Easter eggs generously donated by the community filled not just one, but two hospital carts to the brim. Some lucky patients even had the opportunity to step outside and personally greet the bikers, soaking in the warmth of the sun and the spirit of camaraderie.

In total, over 200 eggs were donated to the hospital, including a generous contribution from GTR revenue staff. Mod Stuart Diggers, beaming with pride, expressed his gratitude to Sussex News, stating, “Yet again, a successful mission with the Mods and Rockers working in harmony to bring joy to sick children this Easter.”
