Man Faces Court After Terrifying 12-Hour Crime Spree in Sussex

Zac Brazil, a 26-year-old man of no fixed address, has been found guilty of a series of crimes committed over a 12-hour period.

The crime spree began with a disturbance reported at Pengelly Gardens, Littlehampton, at approximately 4:30pm on Wednesday, January 3. Brazil forcefully entered a residence with a knife, threatening those inside. Hours later, around 8pm, he invaded another home in Ravenscroft, Storrington, where he assaulted a woman with a knife, resulting in minor injuries, and deliberately damaged her glasses.

Following his arrest, Brazil was discovered to be in possession of cannabis. Investigations also revealed that he had been driving without a valid license and without insurance the previous day.

Facing multiple charges, including criminal damage, common assault, affray, possession of a knife, possession of a Class B drug, failure to cooperate with a preliminary test, driving without insurance, and disqualified driving, Brazil appeared at Crawley Magistrates’ Court on January 5.

He admitted guilt to all charges and is scheduled for sentencing at Lewes Crown Court on February 2.
