During a police operation in Horsham, known as Operation Cruz, aimed at curbing dangerous and anti-social driving, five vehicles were intercepted. This operation is part of a broader effort to address such issues across West Sussex.
The police action specifically targeted an unauthorised car gathering scheduled at Kilnwood Vale on Saturday, 25 November, which was in violation of the area’s public spaces protection order. During this intervention, four vehicles were pulled over due to having illegal number plates and unauthorized modifications. These incidents were subsequently reported to the DVLA.
Additionally, another vehicle was halted for demonstrating signs of erratic driving.
In a related incident, 46-year-old Stephen Casimir from Cowfold Close, Crawley, was detained and subsequently charged with driving under the influence. He is scheduled to appear at Crawley Magistrates’ Court on Monday, 11 December.
