Police are appealing for witnesses to a severe assault in Eastbourne.
Emergency services rushed to Terminus Road, just outside Burger King, at approximately 20:20 on Monday evening (22nd May), following reports of a man being attacked by man, after an altercation with a group of four youths.
The unfortunate victim, 48, suffered injuries to his head and face and was transported to hospital to receive treatment.
The assailant absconded from the scene and last seen heading towards Bolton Road.
The area was busy with pedestrians at the time of the offence and investigating officers are urging anyone who saw what happened to contact them immediately.
