Update: 12-year-old boy, who was missing from Shoreham, has been found safe.

A search was launched in Sussex yesterday avaing 9 17/01/23) evening after the concern 12-year-old biy went missing from Shoreham.

The Police Helicopter NPAS along with Ground Units from Sussex police assisted by the Coastguard, Shoreham RNLI inshore lifeboat, and Sussex Search and Rescue are all involved in a large area search in the Adur area.

Sussex Police said, “He was last seen leaving his home address at 7.30pm on Monday (January 16) but has not been seen since.”

Sussex police have released an update saying “

We are delighted to report 12-year-old Richard, who was missing from Shoreham, has been found safe.

Thank you to everyone involved in the search for Richard.”

Shoreham Coastguard said “Team were paged last night along with Littlehampton CG, to assist Sussex Police, NPAS, Shoreham RNLI and Sussex Lowland rescue to search for a missing 12 year old boy. After extensive searches around the area the young boy was found at approximately 02:00 am this morning. Fantastic work by all agencies and an even better outcome .”
