East Hampshire Police have issued an update regarding a vehicle suspected to be involved in the theft of catalytic converters. The vehicle in question is a silver Subaru/Mitsubishi, possibly a Mitsubishi Outlander, which has a “loud exhaust” and a “different” front nearside wheel.
The police have received calls about suspicious vehicles and believe that this particular vehicle was involved in the theft of a catalytic converter from a Toyota Auris in Southview Rise, Alton at around 2:30 AM on March 22nd. The vehicle was also spotted on March 16th at around 12:30 AM in Reeds Meadow, Langrish, as shown in the attached photo.
The police have reason to believe that the vehicle has crossed over into Rogate, West Sussex and was involved in the theft of a catalytic converter in Linden Drive, Liss prior to that, as shown in another photo.
Police urge members of the public to report any sightings of this vehicle and to quote “Operation COLLECTION” if spotted.
