Police are urging witnesses to come forward following an attack on a woman at the Marina car park in St Leonards. The incident occurred around 12:15 am on Sunday, May 7th, when a man who was acquainted with the woman allegedly assaulted her.
The victim managed to find a safe location and, despite being distressed, did not suffer any physical injuries.
A man, aged 47, from Southminster, Essex, was taken into custody under suspicion of common assault. He has since been released on bail with strict conditions as the investigation continues.
The police are investigating the incident and are keen to speak with anyone who might have witnessed the incident or have any related information. They’re also interested in speaking to any drivers who were in the vicinity during the incident and may have captured relevant footage on their dash cams.
