Travel Alert: Underhill Lane Shut Down After Tree Hits Power Lines

Underhill Lane in Clayton is currently closed following an incident where a tree has fallen onto power lines. West Sussex Fire & Rescue Service (WSFRS) is actively managing the situation on site.

The road will remain closed as teams from UK Power Networks are working diligently to address the issue. Due to the complexity of safely removing the tree and repairing the power lines, the road is expected to be closed for an extended period.

Motorists are strongly advised to avoid the area and seek alternative routes for their travels
