Within an hour, officers issued 5 tickets for driving without a seat belt, and 2 tickets for driving whilst using a mobile phone. These offences make up two of the fatal five.

Lewes Police said online “Did you know that the penalty for using a mobile phone whilst driving is 6 penalty points on your license and a £200 fine?”
