Altercation in Hove Leads to Grievous Bodily Harm Charges

A man faces charges following a serious incident in Hove that left two people severely injured. The police responded to a call at Farm Road on Sunday, January 14, around 8 am, after reports of a confrontation.

Upon their arrival, officers discovered a man in his 40s with puncture wounds. Additionally, a woman in her 30s was found at a nearby location with critical injuries, reportedly sustained from falling out of a window.

Stewart Kamande, 39, residing at Farm Road in Hove, was charged on January 16 with grievous bodily harm and grievous bodily harm with intent. He has been detained in custody and is scheduled for a court appearance on February 13.

Detective Sergeant Victoria Thornton-Green said: “Following a combined effort from numerous teams across the division, we have now charged and remanded a man in relation to the offences.

“Thank you to those who have assisted our enquiries so far, and we urge any outstanding witnesses or anyone with information to come forward and make a report.”
