Cutting-Edge investigation to find Sword’s rightful ‘blade’ owner

Two antique cavalry swords discovered in Brighton on Monday, July 10, are believed to be stolen, prompting a call from the police to reunite them with their lawful owner. Despite extensive investigations, the owner remains unidentified.

PCSO Tillie Earley consulted with an antiques expert in Brighton, who verified the swords as 19th Century French heavy cavalry swords, complete with brass hilts and a blade inscription.

Inspector James Ward expressed confidence in reuniting the swords with their rightful owner, stating, “We are sure someone out there is missing these swords from their collection, and we hope to reunite them soon.”

If you are the legitimate owner of these swords and wish to claim them, it is essential to provide proof of ownership at the front counter of John Street Police Station, where a member of staff will assist you.

To aid the investigation or provide any relevant information, please report online or call 101, referencing serial 1172 of 21/07.
