Paddle Boarders rescued from waters off Birling Gap

Today, the Birling Gap Coastguard, along with the Newhaven Coastguard, Eastbourne Inshore Lifeboat (ILB), and Newhaven All-Weather Lifeboat (ALB), swiftly responded to distress calls from two stranded paddle boarders. The alert came from a vigilant cliff-top walker who heard their cries for help.

The paddle boarders had encountered trouble near Beachy Head Lighthouse and were located promptly by the coordinated efforts of the rescue teams. Both lifeboats ensured their safe return to Holywell Beach, where they were reunited with their belongings, unharmed.
