Yesterday (9th June) evening officers established a corden outside of Newhaven cemetery, on Lewes Rd, Piddinghoe.
Both uniformed officers and Scene Of Crime Officers (SOCO) were seen at the scene along with a forensic tent.
Sussex News understands that a police present is still being maintained at the cemetery this morning.
Little information about this incident is public at this time.
Sussex Police have been approached for comment and we will publish an update when more information is available.
