Sussex Police have now said on social media: “At 7.10pm police responded to an armed incident at Theaklen Drive, St Leonards and a related incident at Churchill Court off Stonehouse Drive. No injuries have been reported. Please avoid both areas. There will be an increased police presence while we respond to this incident.”
Many locals reported on social media that firearms officer are in attendance at the scene, along with a police helicopter.
