Crews from West Sussex Fire and rescue service tackled a blaze involving 200 tonnes of scrap metal at a breaker’s yard in Adversane last night (Friday) and into the early hours of this morning.
Seven fire engines plus the Command and Support Unit from Haywards Heath, Aerial Ladder Platform from Guildford and water carrier from Petworth were called to the scrapyard in Adversane Lane.
The 7 fire engines in attendance were from Billingshurst, Partridge Green, Horsham (two), Worthing (two) and Guildford.
