Sussex Police launch investigation into Littlehampton church break-in

A break-in at St Mary the Virgin church in Littlehampton has prompted an appeal from the Sussex Police for public assistance. The incident occurred overnight between June 1 and June 2, according to the official report.

The unidentified suspect broke into the church located on Church Street, causing notable damage to a window and stealing a candlestick from the premises. The extent of the loss and property damage is currently under review.

Sussex Police, Scene of Crime officers have since processed the scene and launched an official investigation into the incident. As inquiries are ongoing, authorities are urging any witnesses or individuals with pertinent information to come forward.

Members of the public with knowledge related to this incident are encouraged to report it to Sussex Police online, referring to the case by its serial number 1492 dated 02/06.
