Sussex Police Officer Denies Charges in Fatal Peacehaven Collision

PC Christopher Corker denies causing death by dangerous driving in April 2022 incident.

In a hearing at the Old Bailey in London, PC Christopher Corker, a Sussex Police officer, has denied charges related to the death of a man struck by a patrol car in Peacehaven, East Sussex. The incident, which occurred just after 23:10 BST on 30 April 2022, resulted in the death of 27-year-old Arthur Holscher-Ermert.

PC Corker, 40, from Shandon Road in Worthing, faced charges of causing death by dangerous driving and causing death by careless or inconsiderate driving. During the proceedings, he entered a plea of not guilty to both charges.

The court has granted PC Corker unconditional bail while he awaits trial, which is scheduled to commence on 5 August at the Old Bailey.
