Sussex Traffic Watch have reported a number of Road Traffic Accidents that are causing delays on Sussex roads.

Two sperate incidents between Seaford and Peacehaven have brought the A259 in the area to a halt whist Emergency Services attend and then recovery work carried out.

  • A259 Between Peacehaven east and Newhaven rtc ongoing Queuing traffic on both approaches Eastbound from Peacehaven Central and westbound from before the Denton corner roundabout.
  • A259 2nd rtc now reported at Bishopstone near Seaford

Brighton and Hove buses Update

Due to the train strikes taking place today along with multiple accidents along the coast, our coastal routes are extremely busy subject to delays and minor diversions

All service 12,12A&12X will terminate and restart at Rottingdean, There are 2 Shuttles buses that will take passengers between Rottingdean and the Sealife Centre

Also in the West of the County

A27 Eastbound between Crossbush lights in Arundel and Clapham west currently closed for an ongoing RTC diversion via the A284 Lyminster Rd southbound, A259 Eastbound and A280 to rejoin the A27 at Clapham west worthing

West Sussex fire have said

Officers are currently in attendance at an RTC on the A27 which has caused the east bound carriageway to be closed between the A284 at Crossbush and the A280 towards Horsham. Motorists are advised to avoid the area if possible due to heavy traffic congestion.
