Boy sexually assaulted and left with head injury by two women in Burgess Hill woodland

Police are appealing for witnesses after a 15-year-old boy reported being sexually assaulted by two women in Burgess Hill. The incident occurred on Sunday, 4 June, shortly before 6.15pm, as the boy was walking along Cants Lane and heading through a wooded area towards the World’s End area.

The boy suffered injuries to his head and body during the assault. He reported the incident to the police and was given support by specialist officers.

The suspects have been described as two women aged around 18 to 20 years old. One of the women had bright red hair, believed to be coloured, was around 6’ 3” tall, and was wearing glasses. She was also wearing blue shorts, a black crop top, and pink Air Jordan trainers. The second woman had very long white blonde hair, was around 5’ 9” tall, and had a Merseyside accent.

A spokesperson for the police said: “Anyone who recognises those descriptions, saw anything suspicious or has any relevant video footage is asked to contact police online or via 101, quoting serial 044 of 20/06.”

The investigation is ongoing and anyone with information is urged to come forward.
