Four Charged After Ford Transit Motorhome Thefts

Police have charged four men in relation to a series of thefts involving Ford Transit motorhomes across Surrey and Hampshire. The incidents, which occurred between 22 May and 30 May 2024, have led to the apprehension and charging of the individuals involved.

John Lehane, 51, of West Byfleet, was charged with conspiracy to commit theft of a motor vehicle. Lehane appeared at Guildford Remand Court on Saturday, 1 June, and is scheduled to appear at Lewes Crown Court on Friday, 28 June.

Alongside Lehane, three other men have been charged with conspiracy to commit theft of a motor vehicle during the same period. These individuals are:

  • John Doe, 45, of Woking
  • Cornelius Buckley, 34, of Woking
  • Joseph Wickens, 41, of Hailsham

The three men are due to appear at Guildford Magistrates Court on Tuesday, 16 July.
