Police are seeking assistance in identifying a man who might have crucial information regarding a racially charged public disorder incident in Crawley Down. A 31-year-old woman, present at a playground on Station Road, reported experiencing racial abuse from a group of men in a passing car.
This incident is reported to have occurred shortly before 4 pm on Tuesday, June 13, last year. Subsequent investigations led to the arrest of two men from Crawley Down, aged 21 and 24, on suspicion of racially aggravated harassment. Additionally, a 21-year-old man from Horley was arrested under suspicion of racially aggravated harassment and malicious communications.
All three individuals have been released on bail as investigations continue. The police are urging anyone who recognizes the man in question to come forward and contact them either online or by phone at 101, referencing case number 1015 of 13/06.
