Catalytic converter thieves caught in Copthorne

Mid Sussex police would like to thank a vigilant resident whose quick-thinking actions enabled them to detain two men in connection with the theft of a catalytic converter.

The incident occurred in Lashmere, Copthorne, about 10.49pm on Monday 13 June.

Two men from Tunbridge Wells, aged 23 and 26, were arrested nearby on suspicion of theft and have been released under investigation, pending further enquiries.

Mid Sussex Police would like to remind people to continue to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity to them.
