16-Year-Old Charged with Murder in Brighton Stabbing Set for Trial

On Friday at Lewes Crown Court, a 16-year-old boy from Southwick faced charges for the murder of a fellow teenager Mustafa Momand the incident occurred in Queens Road Brighton on the 5th of October. The young defendant, whose identity is withheld due to legal protections for minors, is scheduled for a jury trial starting Monday, February 19.

The case has attracted considerable attention in the Brighton community, stirring discussions about youth violence. The boy, who appeared in the dock this week, had previously pleaded not guilty during a video link session held on Friday, December 15.
