Gatwick Airport, one of the UK’s busiest hubs, has shut down its runways following reports of drone activity in the vicinity. Flights are grounded, while others circle above. Several aircraft with low fuel levels have squawked 7700, indicating emergencies, and are being diverted to London Stansted Airport.
Police have been spotted on the ground and the NPAS police helicopter is now over the airport.
