Early Morning Rescue on Bognor Beach Saves Injured Individual

Immediate action by rescue teams and paramedics provides essential aid to an individual in extreme pain on Bognor Beach.

In an early morning rescue, emergency teams were dispatched to Bognor Beach following a distress call about a person who had suffered a severe fall from a wall. The incident, which unfolded in the chilly early hours of Saturday, March 17, saw the Selsey Coastguard rescue team called into action to assist the injured individual.

At approximately 2:53 AM, the rescue team was paged to the scene where they found the casualty in a dire state. The individual, whose identity has not been disclosed, was in extreme pain, unable to move, and suffering from the cold. The team immediately administered casualty care, working diligently to alleviate the person’s pain and protect them from the cold beach environment.

Efforts to keep the casualty warm and stable were successful, and the team continuously monitored and assessed the individual’s condition while waiting for additional medical support. Upon the arrival of paramedics and an ambulance, a coordinated effort ensured the safe transfer of the casualty from the beach to the ambulance,

The casualty was subsequently transported to a nearby hospital for further treatment. The incident concluded with the team returning to their station at 5:35 AM
