Reduced bus service in Crawley due to driver shortage

Metro Bus Crawley are introducing a reduced timetable starting on the 15th of October due to experiencing high levels of driver shortages.

Metro Bus said “The UK’s transport industry is experiencing high levels of driver shortages and sadly we are being affected by this. We are recruiting new drivers as quickly as we can to help with the situation but as a result of these shortages, we have had to cancel some journeys at short notice, and we apologise for the inconvenience caused by this. Our aim is to ensure that early morning and evening journeys continue to run, as well as all journeys on lower frequency routes.”

“Timetable updates for routes 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 10, 20 & 100 will take place from 15th October 2022. This will result in a reduced daytime frequency on these services but in turn will provide increased reliability on all routes. We will look to improve the frequency of the affected services as soon as we are able to as the driver situation improves.”

“We’re sorry for the inconvenience caused and highly recommend that passengers check bus times before travelling or use the live departure times feature on the app where you can track your bus in real time.”
