Man seriously injured in assault near Harbour Hotel in Brighton

Police are appealing for witnesses to a serious assault that occurred near the Harbour Hotel on Kings Road, Brighton between 3am and 3.45am on June 17th.

A 30-year-old man from Brighton suffered serious injuries and was taken to hospital where he remains at this time. Officers would like to speak to anyone who witnessed the assault or anyone who has information that could assist them with their investigation.

In a police press statement released after the assault, it was reported that emergency services were called to a report of a man unconscious in King’s Road at about 3.40am on Saturday, June 17th. Officers are appealing for witnesses to a possible altercation in King’s Road, near the junction with West Street, shortly before 3.40am.

An 18-year-old man from Eastbourne was arrested on suspicion of assault. Witnesses or anyone with information such as mobile phone footage or dashcam footage is asked to report it to Sussex Police online or on 101 and quote serial 196 of 17/06.
