PUPDATE: Brighton Cops collar dog-napper

Brighton and Hove Police have successfully located and reunited Dylan, the therapy dog, with his owner following a theft incident in Moulescoomb. The police launched an appeal for information after Dylan was stolen from his owner at a shop in the area yesterday.

Thanks to the public’s assistance, the police were able to track down Dylan and the suspect, a man from Brighton, who has since been arrested. The police officers involved in the operation, PCSO Caroline Batchellor and PC Oli Dalgleish, were pictured with Dylan and his owner following the reunion.

“We would like to thank everyone who contacted us with information, which enabled us to locate Dylan and bring him home to his owner,” said a spokesperson for Brighton and Hove Police.

Dylan, who is a therapy dog, is no doubt receiving lots of love and treats from his relieved owner following his safe return.
