Renewed appeal on her 35th birthday for missing Georgina Gharsallah from Worthing since 2018

Today, Georgina Gharsallah should be celebrating her 35th birthday with family and friends.

Instead, her loved ones will be marking the occasion without her, and only with the years of fond memories that came before.

Georgina has been missing since Wednesday 7 March, 2018. She went to Clifton Wine and Foods in Clifton Road, Worthing, that morning but never returned home.

Detective Superintendent Andy Wolstenholme said: “Every day that passes without news of what happened to Georgina is devastating for her family and friends, and that feeling is amplified on occasions like her birthday.

“It’s important we keep talking about Georgina; I’m always so in awe of the tireless work that Andrea and her family do to keep Georgina’s story in the public view.

“My team continue to investigate the circumstances, speaking to everyone that contacts us with information. I know someone out there knows what happened to Georgina that day and I can’t say enough how vital it is that they do the right thing and tell us what happened; we need the help and support of the public to find those answers that Georgina’s family so deserve.

“Georgina’s mum has a constant stream of people sending her social media messages with information about Georgina, but most often those same messages are not sent in to Sussex Police. The reasons are often that people want to remain anonymous, but of course that is something that the police are used to dealing with and we treat all information in to us as confidential.

“If you have information, please send it to us. We will deal with it sensitively as it could well be that missing piece that we need to connect the thousands of enquiries that we have already completed in to Georgina’s disappearance.

“You can also report information anonymously to the charity Crimestoppers, who are completely independent of the police. So if someone reading this does have information, you can get that information to the investigation team without ever needing to give your name.”
